1917 deserves to win an award for best cinematography. This has to be some of the best work I have seen; following two lead characters in what is supposed to look as one shot from start to finish. And though we know that it's still edited to appear as one entire take, the execution is beautiful, there's not much of a back-story since it isn't required to a great extent... But the camera work and the scenery was just some of the best visuals scene just yet! When I came out I told 2 of my friends that I felt as if I was watching some form of moving art; whereby the characters are the constant and there's just frames with different backgrounds, almost as a slideshow presentation. The movie is intense, you cannot anticipate when danger is bound to approach and every choice or decision they make is life-threatening.

It's one for the screenings and can be viewed again for certain! You will truly be invested, even the cgi wouldn't throw you off at any instance..

Some good suspense and lovely expressive detailing. Rating: 8-8.5/10 #ReservedPopcorn 🕶🍿🍫
